Fines at Remote Tourism Outpost Camps in the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve
The Ministry of Natural Resources laid eight charges and issued seven warnings after checking 26 individuals during a two-day enforcement blitz in the Chapleau area.
On July 4 and 5, 2009, the Ministry of Natural Resources' Thunder Bay canine unit and Chapleau District conservation officers visited remote tourism outpost camps in the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve. Ten resident and 16 non-resident anglers were checked for compliance with the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, Ontario Fishery Regulations and public safety related legislation.
